Getting to Birmingham International Airport by Road

The airport is located 13 miles east of Birmingham and very close to the M42 motorway that circles Birmingham City. The airport is half a mile from junction 6 on the M42 and 3 miles from the junction of the M6 and M42.

Getting to Birmingham International Airport by Train

The free frequent Air-Rail Link shuttle connects the 500 meters between Birmingham International Airport Terminal 1 to Birmingham International Station and is open 0515 to 0200. There are frequent rail services to Birmingham City Centre (Birmingham New Street) which takes 15 minutes and London Euston station which takes 80 minutes. The station lies on the West Coast Mainline with fast and frequent connections to the rest of the UK. Direct services are operated by Virgin Trains and Central Trains. Train times and fares are available from nationalrail on 08457 48 49 50.

Getting to Birmingham International Airport by Coach

Digbeth coach station in Birmingham City Centre is the hub of the National Express network with services to most parts of the UK. Digbeth coach station is about 20 minutes away from the Airport and is easy to reach using the 900 bus service.
